History

GORGEOUS INTERIORS

◼︎ As maritime experts in interior finishing, we make dreams come true. AIP Innenprojekt GmbH was founded in 1997 under the name Aurich Innenprojekt GmbH. Our original 10 employees have now grown in number to over 70, plus around 10 apprentices in the manual, technical and commercial trades. The company headquarters and production facilities are located in Limbach-Oberfrohna, near Chemnitz. Originally, we produced 1:1 show suites when working on interiors, but we now reproduce them down to the smallest detail using 3-D graphics, working models – and, in the future, virtual reality as well. From an original surface area of 900 m², we now work on up to 19,000 m² per ship with a huge overall range, from discos, casinos and nightclubs, moving on to restaurants and lounges right through to reception areas. Our contracts include all stages of the process, from initial planning to final assembly, which is mostly carried out at the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, managed end-to-end by our experienced team.

Philosophy

◼︎ Your desires are our motivation for creating interior design masterpieces. We make sure that you will feel totally at ease in the interiors entirely designed by us, both on the high seas and ashore.

Everything for the interior is our thing

◼︎ As an experienced general constructor for interior finishing on cruise liners, we offer professional planning, advice, development, construction, project management, production, assembly, and cost-controlling, all under one roof. Using state-of-the-art ERP process control systems, we plan and develop projects that stay on track. Thanks to the know-how of our in-house joiners and our intensive cooperation with interior architects from all over the world, we produce interior fittings to get passionate about. Working closely with you, our customer, this enables us to produce furniture in custom sizes and with individual features. The ship’s whistle motivates us to achieve huge goals. From the first idea to the last bolt. Our high standards bring together customer satisfaction, innovation and environmental balance.

Training

TOWARDS THE HORIZON

◼︎ As we are a company that has grown from our origins in master joinery, we have trained apprentice joiners ever since the company was founded. For the last two years, we have also trained apprentices in the profession of “technical product designer”, and since last year, “office management” as well. We have also been a partner of the Dresden Vocational Training Academy in the dual “wood technology” course of studies. Alongside their studies in Dresden, students regularly join the company for practical placements, where they are entrusted with special duties. As a registered handicraft business, AIP Innenprojekt GmbH coordinates all training measures for apprentices with the Chemnitz Chamber of Trades. The theoretical part of the apprenticeship program takes place at the Vocational School Center for Technology II in Chemnitz.

◼︎ To secure our high standards of quality and professionalism for the long term, we invest constantly in training measures such as our own training department, to give just one example. Naturally, we hope to employ our apprentices after they have successfully completed the program. Our aim is to train 2 to 3 apprentices every academic year. In addition to our modern technical opportunities, we see our future colleagues as the best investment in a sustainably profitable business that keeps everything under control – even in heavy seas.
